APPLY FOR OUR YOUTH PROGRAMS TODAY

STREAT are excited to announce our Refugee Fast Track To Work Program* is now accepting applicants for our 27 July 2023 and 12 October 2023 intakes (with referrals being on-going). This program expands on our highly successful 8-week work-readiness program, and welcomes refugee and humanitarian entrants who are aged 16-24 years old, with low literacy or limited education, who are seeking work in hospitality and/or horticulture. Watch our video to see what the program involves.

When we asked our youth programs team what they thought about this opportunity, they said, “We’re really happy to welcome more young people from different countries to our program at STREAT.

“You don’t have to let language or education hold you back. Our program is here to help you grow, and achieve your dreams, no matter where you come from. Many of our graduates were born in other countries, and they now have great jobs and success!”

The program will increase work-readiness and employment opportunities for trainees, and our goal, as with all young people, is for them to feel they belong, with a healthy sense of self, home and work. Our programs run from our site in Collingwood, with work experience shifts around the inner suburbs of Melbourne.

Download the information sheet for the eligibility criteria, or contact our dedicated youth programs team with any questions. We look forward to hearing from you.

* This program is supported by an Economic Pathways to Refugee Integration grant. This EPRI program Grants to Social Enterprises grant received grant funding from the Australian Government.
