News Update: charting the course for a regenerative future!
We are excited to share that we’re in the process of creating our 2040 planet plan.
As a backstory, in 2017, we partnered with four talented students from Melbourne University who we worked with to baseline our carbon footprint across all of STREAT’s businesses – including a waste audit – delving into our bins, scrutinising supply chains, and measuring energy consumption. We then went ahead and created our inaugural Planet Plan (pictured below)! It outlined steps we could take in the next 6 months, year, two to five years, and so on.
Fast forward to today, and we’ve realised that our goals from 2017, while we thought the were ambitious then, weren’t ambitious enough for the challenges ahead.
So, with a sense of excitement, we’re pleased to announce that we’re currently crafting our 2040 plan – a roadmap that goes even further in addressing the urgent climate emergency we all face.

Along the way, we’ve achieved some milestones we’re proud of: solar panels at our Cromwell Cafe and offices, renewable electricity, onsite worm farms, and circular retail products to name a few. But we know there’s more to be done, and we’re committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
