STREAT makes a dollar stretch a long way. And for every dollar you give, we generate a further $3 within our businesses. It costs STREAT over $20,000 to give each young person an average of 1,000 hours of wrap-around support and training across a year, but this investment provides enormous community savings each year (RMIT research shows that on average, each STREAT trainee is costing the community over $50,000 in housing, justice, mental health, hospitals and welfare costs each year, but after gaining the necessary wrap-around support and training at STREAT this cost reduces by over $33,000 per year per young person for the rest of their lives).
