STREAT is a new youth-focused social enterprise running outdoor street cafe's in Melbourne’s CBD. If you’re interested in kick-starting your career in hospitality, we want to hear from you.

The program

The STREAT program targets young people 16-24 years of age who are disadvantaged,disengaged, have been homeless or are at risk of being homeless. We’re offering a six-month training and work-experience program which includes:

• Training: An accredited Certificate II in Hospitality. This is delivered in partnership with the William Angliss Institute.

• Work Experience:

• Real on-the-job training for six months .
• You will get practical work experience in our street cafe and preparation kitchen.This is not only a great opportunity to start earning a wage but also kick-start your CV with real industry experience.
• STREAT will then help to transition you into longer-term employment in the hospitality industry once you have completed the program.

• Social support: Ongoing support including individualised case management, group support, social and recreational activities, creative program, life and professional skills. The social support component will happen throughout the six months that you are part of the STREAT program.
